Rob Evans has been switched from the bench to the Wales starting line-up to face Argentina at the Estadio San Juan del Bicentenario Stadium on Saturday night.
Coach Warren Gatland was forced to make the change as Wyn Jones picked up a calf injury in training and the loosehead prop will unfortunately miss the rest of the tour.
Evans, from Haverfordwest, will replace his Scarlets team-mate in the front row, and the 26-year-old will pack down as the most experienced forward with 25 caps. Ospreys’ Nicky Smith has been drafted onto the replacements bench.
Scarlets’ James ‘Cub’ Davies, formerly of Whitland RFC, will also start in the back row on the openside alongside blindside Seb Davies and British Lion No 8 Ross Moriarty.
The game will be televised on Channel 4 on Saturday, June 9th – kicking off at 7.40pm.
