A BODY of a man has sadly been recovered from an Eryri mountain.
The body was discovered on Pen yr Ole Wen after Ogwen Valley Mountain Rescue Organisation carried out a foot search; This was connected to a search for a missing walker.
In a statement, Ogwen Valley Mountain Rescue Organisation said: "On Thursday (May 9), as part of the ongoing search for a missing walker, Maritime and Coastguard Agency R936 reported what they thought was a person on the south western side of Pen Yr Ole Wen.
"On Friday (May 100, team members carried out a foot search and found the body of a man and recovered him from the mountain."
The identity of the man has not yet been confirmed.
