IN a change to advertised schedules local band Skinflint are to bring their 1960s acoustic act to the Redditch Bandstand on Saturday, August 10, with the previously-arranged acts moving to an expanded September event.
The latest free event at the Church Green bandstand remains scheduled for noon to 2pm featuring face painting and a bouncy castle.
Next month’s event, on Saturday, September 14, will now be a bigger cultural celebration carnival from noon to 4pm, including Caribbean and South Asian music, food and activities alongside the usual host of local talent.
Council leader Bill Hartnett said: “Some dates have had to be moved around so please take note, and promotional materials like posters are being updated. The expanded programme promises to be even better, so why not come on down to the town centre and enjoy the entertainment.”
