DO YOU know someone who has made an outstanding contribution to Milford Haven?

It could be a volunteer, a band leader, a dance teacher, or anything that has seen someone devote time and energy to making the town a better place.

Milford Haven Town Council is now taking nominations for its annual citizens’ award and youth citizens’ award.

The awards celebrate the dedication and commitment of people within Milford Haven, to deserving causes, charities and groups, or through events and fundraisers.

Individuals, groups and organisations can be nominated.

There is also a Youth Citizens Awards, for those under 18 years old whose selflessness and hard work should also be celebrated, or a group or organisation that is deserving.

Please get an application form and nominate those who deserve an award so they can be put to panel, otherwise they will always be unsung heroes of the community.

Councillor William Elliott, Deputy Mayor of Milford Haven said: “Within our town, we have so many unsung heroes that give up so much time and effort towards the many charities, groups and organisations that need their support.

"Therefore, if you have someone in mind, then I would urge you to get an application form and put it forward; otherwise they may never get recognised.”

If you think someone’s hard work should be recognised in this way, you can put their name forward, and the reasons for your nomination, by 5pm on Friday, May 6.

Application forms can be obtained by telephoning Milford Haven Town Council on 01646 692505, calling into the Milford Haven Town Council office, or emailing mhtcadmin@btconnect.com.
