THE pews are expected to be packed again for the next concert at Burnetts Hill Chapel, Martletwy, on Wednesday, May 15, featuring The Churchfitters who are based in Brittany.
The band features Chris Short (fiddle, mandolin, musical saw), his sister Rosie (flute, tin whistle, banjo, ukulele, washboard), and Boris Lebret (scrap metal bass, hubcap bouzouki and various other bonkers instruments).
Performing traditional songs and tunes from England, Brittany, Ireland and beyond, plus a few originals, The Churchfitters have been described by Dave Pegg of Fairport Convention as 'the most musically inventive band that I have seen in decades'.
They always deliver a high-energy show that is hugely entertaining, both musically and visually, and this is their first-ever visit to Pembrokeshire.
Boris, who comes from Lanion, Brittany, is particularly looking forward to visiting west Wales.
Tickets are £12 a pop from Main Street Music or from 01646 651725.
