Narberth's Queens Hall has snapped up another top name act, as dancefloor doyenne Sophie Ellis- Bextor is set to play there this summer.

The singer recently shot back into the UK charts with long-awaited third album Trip the Light Fantastic.

The first single from the album, Catch You, entered the the top 30m on downloads alone and climbed to number eight in the charts.

Queen's Hall manager Ashley Calvert said he was ecstatic about the confirmed gig.

"I am absolutely excited," he told the Western Telegraph. "It's great to start to be offered this stuff now and this gig is fantastic news. Watch this space for other great acts to follow."

Sophie sings at the hall on August 15th. Tickets are available from the Queens Hall and cost £15 plus booking fee.
