It may be greying around the temples, but the Queen's Hall, Narberth is 50 next birthday and it will be having a party to celebrate.

It seems incredible that Pembrokeshire's number one live music venue has reached middle age, but here it is, still carrying on like a teenager.

The venue is 50 on February 1st and will celebrate with a big 1950s theme party, promising a night of fun, music and dance for everyone.

Over the 50 years, the Queen's Hall has rightly gained a huge reputation for quality music having seen the likes of Elton John, Midge Ure, Sandi Thom and David Grey grace the stage.

Just this year pop princess Sophie Ellis Bextor strutted her stuff on the stage that was created by those visionary founders five decades ago.

That is a tradition it plans to continue into its next 50 years, by maintaining its focus on live music which appeals to music lovers in west Wales and further afield.
