Fans of Jack Black won’t have to travel far to see his latest film Gulliver’s Travels, which is currently showing at the Palace Cinema, Haverfordwest.
Lemuel Gulliver (Black) is a perpetual underachiever and wannabe travel writer at a New York newspaper. When he actually ventures out of the city to write a travel piece, a storm-tossed voyage lands him on an island inhabited by tiny folks called Liliputians.
After a rocky start, the gargantuan Gulliver becomes an inspiration to his new six-inch-tall friends. He brings them modern-day wonders like video games, while they help him learn that it’s how big you are on the inside that counts.
Also starring Emily Blunt, Jason Segal, James Corden, Catherine Tate Billy Connolly and Amanda Peet, the film is showing at 7.45pm tonight (Tuesday), tomorrow (Wednesday) and Thursday.
