NARBERTH-based singer-songwriter Caroline Harrison has become the latest rising star in the acoustic-pop scene.

Her latest single Like a Picture Tells a Story is anticipated to follow in the success of her debut song “Beyond the Darkened Sky”, which took the acoustic world by storm in 2013.

The single was aired on BBC 6 Music and BBC Radio Wales who went on to name the solo singer as Artist of the Week.

She was also featured on the 2013 Wales Music Day, and secured play counts on 70 regional stations.

Having already supported the likes of Charlotte Church, Jodie Marie, and Livingston, the latter of which she toured across Germany over eight days, it’s no surprise she's considered one to watch.

And she has big shoes to fill, with her sound being compared to that of Mama Cass, Dusty Springfield, Fleetwood Mac and Dionne Warwick.

She has performed at the Queens Hall, Narberth, and Narberth food festival, winning crowds over with her soulful mix of guitar-led folk and pop.

Away from the UK, Caroline has enjoyed the unexpected success of having one of her songs included in a Brazilian Soap Opera that boasts audiences in excess of 28 million - a boost which ultimately led her to secure a publishing deal with Peer Music.

And despite her successes, Caroline - who moved to Pembrokeshire from Kent with her family in 1997 - still finds time to perform locally.

She recently played at The Tiddly, supported by local act Kyle Kirkhouse, and performed an impromptu 'busking' set on the streets of Haverfordwest.
