DAVIES Colonel David Llewellin (Dai) Linda, Richard, Siân and family wish to extend thanks and gratitude to the many people who joined them for Dai's Funeral Service on Saturday, 24 February 2024. Thanks also go to all relatives, friends and neighbours for the tremendous wave of love and support that was received both during Dai's illness and after his sad passing. For every kind word written and every thoughtful gift of comfort and sustenance received, your kindness was overwhelming and for that we are extremely grateful. We also wish to thank everyone who has donated to Alzheimer's Research UK, either online via the JustGiving page or in offline donations. At the time of writing, the current total stands at an extraordinary £3,875.00 (before Gift Aid). Thank you all so very much for your generosity in Dai's memory. Our thanks also go to the staff of Bush House Nursing Home, Pembroke, for the love and care shown to Dai and to us as a family; to the Acute Response Team for the care and diligence shown to Dai in his final days and the comfort and support shown to us by Revd. Canon Geoffrey Gwyther and The Rt. Revd Bishop John Saxbee. Also, to Revd. Geoffrey Eynon for conducting our private, family service. Our family will be forever grateful to you all. We thank the members of 224 (PY) Squadron for honouring Dai by acting as his Bearer Party and Captain James John for his professionalism, guidance and support. Finally, our thanks to Roy Folland & Son Funeral Directors, for the extremely professional way the family was guided and supported throughout the process of arranging and carrying out the funeral. Diolch yn fawr iawn.
