Richard Buckston (Rick) Spicer
SPICER Richard Buckston (Rick) Rick passed away on Saturday 26th August at Withybush Hospital in Haverfordwest. He was the warden at Pwll Deri Youth Hostel from 1971 -1993. He was proud to play an active role as a Voluntary Warden in the Pembrokeshire National Park over many years. He loved natural history and his knowledge of local wildlife was exceptional. He later lived at Square and Compass and Llain Las in Fishguard. As he requested; there will be no funeral service. His ashes will be scattered in a place that was dear to him. There will be a small celebration of his life on that occasion. Friends will hopefully be able at that time to share stories of that crazy guy who made an impression on so many people over the fifty years he lived in Pembrokeshire. He loved dogs and it is fitting that any donations should be to The Dog's Trust. Undertakers Paul Jenkins & Sons, Feidr Castell, Fishguard have agreed to receive any donations.

Rick WAS very knowledgeable and direct, but it didn't stop him enjoying a kiss and a cuddle. He had many froebels, but just thinking about him made you smile.
