IN the Western Telegraph of November 14th, you quoted Pembrokeshire County Council cabinet member for housing and sustainability David Simpson as saying: “Wind turbines are causing a massive headache in my area and for tourism in Pembrokeshire”.
Firstly, is this an appropriate stance for the member for sustainability to adopt?
Secondly, do turbines really cause a ‘massive headache’, or are a well-organised vocal minority of ‘wind bashers’ very good at muck-stirring?
And these people do stir the muck. Around Steynton many folk originally turned ‘anti’ by propaganda at the planning stage admit that they hardly notice the nearby turbines, and now wonder what all the fuss was about.
