It may be one of the most beautiful public houses in Pembrokeshire but there was no time to call in for a pint at the Carew Inn as the cyclists raced past as part of the 112 mile second leg of the Ironman Wales challenge.

The route took the cyclists right past the front door of the Inn, before setting off across Carew Bridge, where many competitors took the opportunity to glance left at the iconic Carew Castle.
