STAFF from Principality building society in Haverfordwest rolled up their sleeves for a charity car wash in aid of the British Heart Foundation (BHF) on Saturday (September 7).
In four hours, branch charity champion Kristel Ives, along with colleagues Liz Moss, Rebecca Jones and Mike Watts, cleaned 17 cars and raised £89 for the charity.
They were joined at the Picton Centre in Haverfordwest by Melissa Siso and 11-year-old helpers Jordan and Miguel Siso.
Kristel thanked everyone who donated on the day, and Halfords in Haverfordwest for supplying sponges, buckets and car shampoo.
BHF, which is the Principalities’ charity of the year for 2013, spends more than £4,000 a day on research to help beat heart disease.
Wales’ biggest killer, heart and circulatory disease is responsible for more than 11,000 deaths every year
As well as raising essential funds, BHF campaigns with and on behalf of heart patients, and provides specialist heart nurses to care for patients and support their families and carers.
