PEMBROKE Dock Town Council is to meet with the company behind the Rhoscrowther wind farm proposals to discuss how a £1.25m community fund could be administered.
Rhoscrowther Wind Farm Ltd is proposing to build five 2.05MW wind turbines on farmland next to the Valero Refinery.
If built, the wind farm will have the potential to generate enough energy to power around 5,000 homes. The turbines are expected to be 100m tall.
If the proposed development goes ahead, the firm will invest £1.25m in the local area over the 25-year lifetime of the wind farm.
Company representatives will also be updating Pembroke Dock Town Council – as well as other community councils - on feedback from a consultation event held at Angle Village Hall in July.
