THE art department at Sir Thomas Picton School will be holding its third annual ‘SixbyFour' exhibition on Friday, September 27.

The event is an opportunity for pupils to showcase their artwork alongside some of the world’s most talented artists and practitioners.

Head of the department, Diana Brook, said: “Over the last two years we have had the support from Pembrokeshire's art legends such as John Knapp Fisher, Chris Neale, Claudia Williams and Gwilym Pritchard. The support from all over the world has been incredible, artists from Australia and USA willingly send beautiful pieces which are then mounted on the walls of our very own gallery, Oriel STP.”

She adds: “The staff in the department spend the whole year planning for this important exhibition and making contacts with every type of artist, designer and craftsperson.”

Each piece of art is on sale for just £5 and its creator is completely anonymous until the point of sale.

Doors open at 3.30pm and the exhibition will be opened officially by artist Paul Roche.
