A lone sailor whose craft was in danger of washing ashore was rescued by the Tenby lifeboat this (Monday) morning.
The lifeboat, the Haydn Miller, was launched at 4.35am after Milford Haven coastguard had received a call from the skipper of the yacht Maddi Daddi.
The vessel had dragged anchor and was in danger of washing ashore in the surf at Sandtop Bay, Caldey Island.
Tenby's inshore lifeboat was also launched to assist if necessary.
At Sandtop Bay, the Haydn Miller's Y boat was launched to go through the surf to the yacht where crew members attached the lifeboat's tow rope. The yacht, with the owner and a lifeboatman on board, was towed to a safe mooring in Tenby's North bay.
