A request for traffic calming along the main route to three Tenby schools has finally been heeded by Pembrokeshire County Council.
The authority - which is planning to build a new English medium primary school adjacent to the current junior school site in Heywood Lane - is planning that a 20mph limit should be enforced between Leachway and Tudor Way. There would also be six flat topped speed tables.
Tenby Town Council, which first suggested the speed limit zone in 2005, was due to consider the proposal at its meeting yesterday (Tuesday).
