THE Paul Sartori Foundation’s coffers have received a £13,300 boost, thanks to the success of Valero Pembroke Refinery’s Spring Ball.
A cheque was recently presented to representatives from Paul Sartori, the refinery’s charity of the year, by members of the Valero Volunteer Council.
The ball was held on Friday, May 9, and saw 450 guests from Valero, contract companies and suppliers enjoy a glamorous evening at Pembroke Castle.
Ruth Ferguson, head of the Valero organising committee, said: “When we totalled up the various donations and contributions from various companies and individuals, we were astonished with the final result of well over £13,000.
“Following on from last year’s successful inaugural Spring Ball, we really wanted to beat the 2012 total, but this was a welcome surprise and a fantastic amount for us to present to the Paul Sartori Foundation.”
