REPLY to Julia Benson from West Williamston concerning Haverfordwest Ghost Walks:-Thank you for commenting on the history walks organised by the historian and author Mark Muller and the costumier Sophie Dobson.
The walks were, indeed a great success due to the efforts of a large group of volunteers.
Sophie recruits all her family and friends to be the historical re-enactors in the roles of medieval market folk, regency characters, 1940s theatre-goers, plague victims, Victorian gentry and servants and 1979 French soldiers in St Mary’s Church.
Forty actors took part over five days, only nine were from Milford Operatic. Julia Benson need not feel ‘appalled’ that Haverfordwest Operatic members were not contacted. Sophie asked the very talented John and Jenny Roch to appear in the Victorian scene at Spring Gardens House. However they had two family weddings in August and sadly could not appear this year.
All the people who took part are volunteers and friends of the Dobson family. Julia is very welcome to come on the next Haverfordwest Ghost Walk. If she contacts us, we will give her two complimentary tickets for our next event.
