A £300 boost to the Fishguard & Goodwick Poppy Appeal has come from staff at the Fishguard Bay Hotel who have sold knitted poppies and held a Remembrance Day raffle.
Fishguard knit wit and Bay Hotel receptionist, Tania Ahearne, raised £257 by knitting poppies and putting them on sale at the reception desk at the hotel. She also knitted a Poppy tea cosy which was raffled off and made an additional £43.
The £300 donation was gratefully received by poppy coordinator Yvonne Price on Monday, November 10.
Yvonne said she was delighted at the money raised by Tania, Gareth James and all staff at the hotel and touched to see such inspiration.
