People are being urged to switch off their lights tonight as part of Earth Hour day.
The worldwide initiative is not only to save electricity but also to bring people together to celebrate the planet and how it can be protected.
A record number of 162 countries celebrated Earth Hour in 2014, with many of the world's most famous landmarks going dark for the hour. In Wales, iconic buildings backing the campaign included Castell Coch and the Senedd.
Over 4,600 schools and 2 million students took part across the UK, as well as over 1000 businesses and organisations.
In Carmarthenshire, the county council will be again supporting the event, assured authority leader, Councillor Kevin Madge.
He said: “We will be making arrangements to ensure all unnecessary building lighting is switched off from 8.30pm-9.30pm on March 28.
“As an organisation, we are committed to reducing our environmental footprint – something which is reflected in reductions in our energy consumption, increased recycling rates, investment in renewable energy and deployment of electric vehicles.”
