A FUNDRAISING abseil for the Welsh Guards Charity, the Regiment of the 1st Battalion Welsh Guards, was held during Pembroke’s recent river rally.
The joint organisers for the abseil over the outside wall of Wogan's Cave at Pembroke Castle were town councillor Aden Brinn, honorary life member of the Welsh Guards - celebrating its centenary this year - and Dana Rixon.
Both organisers would like to thank everyone who took part, including a detachment of soldiers from the 14th Signal Regiment, Electronic Warfare, Royal Corps of Signals stationed at Cawdor Barracks, Brawdy.
Cllr Brinn is planning other fundraising events later this year.
On March 15 of next year it will be 10 years since conferring the Freedom of Pembroke upon the Welsh Guards.
