I WAS more than a little disappointed to read of the ‘public backlash’ in response to PCC’s proposal to scrap the supply of free bin bags in order to make an annual saving of £83,000.
We in Pembrokeshire have been fortunate to date to enjoy this free service, many authorities took this decision several years ago. The complaint should be taken up with David Cameron and George Osborne, who insist on taking measures to reduce the deficit in record time and are making drastic funding cuts to local authorities.
