TREASURES & Titbits, a hugely successful RNLI fund-raising evening, held recently by Pembroke Ladies Lifeboat Guild, netted £700 for the charity.
The Titbits Finger Buffet, for more than 60 guests, was served and donated by Guild members.
Nigel Hodson of Peter Francis Auctioneers of Carmarthen gave free valuation to guests on their 'Treasures'.
Nigel talked of his very interesting career path.
Nigel's knowledge and experience in the antiques world is priceless in itself, and members heard a fascinating story of some Chinese pieces that had come to him by chance, delivered in a cardboard box, which were extremely valuable.
Other experiences were also heard, when items are not quite as authentic as deemed.
Pembroke Guild members wish to thank supporters attending with their many ‘Treasures’ and Nigel for making the event so personable and pleasurable for all.
The funds raised are also ‘priceless’ to the RNLI; £700 can today buy, two Lifejackets for a Tamar Lifeboat crew volunteer member.
