Today (Friday) is the final day for this year's seasonal pedestrianisation of Tenby's walled town.
This is the second year that the scheme has operated for an extended period following the Long Course Weekend in July up to the Ironman weekend and is now a permanent summer feature, following a successful trial in 2015.
Said a Pembrokeshire County Council spokesman: “The trial was introduced following a consultation exercise with residents and businesses and looks to support local business and town council initiatives aimed at regenerating the town centre.”
The operating hours of the scheme were also extended by 30 minutes a day, prohibiting non-essential vehicles from entering the town’s walls between 11am and 5.30pm.
However, road closures will operate in the walled town on Sunday while Ironman Wales takes place.
