Members of St Dogmael's school council were given a guided tour around County Hall last Monday, March 13.
The youngsters were shown around the building by Pembrokeshire County Council chairman, Councillor Tony Brinsden
They were accompanied by other members of year six together with teacher Helen Morris, LSA Janet Lorenz, school Governor Ann Caygill and member for St Dogmaels, Councillor Mike James.
Highlights of the tour were sitting in on a live cabinet meeting and visiting the council chamber where they grilled Cllrs Brinsden and James on a variety of topics.
"The pupils loved their time in County Hall," said Mrs Morris. "The tour certainly gives them a better understanding of the democratic process."
Councillor Brinsden added.
"It was a pleasure taking the pupils around the various departments at County Hall.
"They were courteous, attentive and asked some superb questions along the way, some of which were quite difficult to answer!
