FOR the tenth year, the TaxPayers’ Alliance (TPA) has compiled a list of council employees in the UK whose total annual remuneration exceeds £100,000.
This year’s 'Town Hall Rich List' covers the 2014-15 and 2015-16 financial years, the most recent full years for which data is available.
In Pembrokeshire, five employees were paid more than £100,000 in 2015-16, the same as in the previous year.
In Wales as a whole, 102 people received more than £100,000 in 2015-16.
The biggest pay package in Wales was received by Wrexham County Borough Council’s Head of Housing, Public Protection & Environment, who earnt £323,622.
The Prime Minister is currently paid £150,402 a year.
In 2014-15, Pembrokeshire topped the list in Wales, when former chief executive and returning officer Bryn Parry-Jones earned £389,914.
The council's current chief executive, Ian Westley, was appointed in July 2015 with a wage of £130,000, a figure set by the independent remuneration panel for Wales.
The TaxPayers' Alliance was formed in 2004 to campaign for a low tax society.
It isn not officially affiliated with any political party, and its leaders have consistently denied it being a 'front' for the Conservative party.
