FRESH produce and family fun is on the menu today for the third edition of Haverfoodfest.

Taking place in the grounds of County Hall and the Picton Centre from 10am to 6pm, there will be live cookery demonstrations, a selection of food and drink stalls, live music and entertainment for children.

Organisers hope to build on last year’s event which attracted over 4,000 people.

Highlights include a demonstration by Carmarthen-based Towy Fishmonger who show how to fillet fish with a chopstick and prepare a jumbo octopus.

From 1 to 2pm The Welsh Bakery will be demonstrating how to make a savoury rolled pizza.

In the children’s tent there will be a performance poetry session based on food from 2 to 3pm. Then there will be the chance to make puppets using recycled food packaging.

A free park and ride bus will be running throughout the day from the Pembrokeshire Archives Office next to Sir Thomas Picton School to the festival.
