FEARS that all Withybush’s toilets were out of action today, September 7, have been refuted by Hywel Dda University Health Board.
The western Telegraph was contacted by a concerned Haverfordwest resident, stating he and other patients had been told all toilets in the hospital were out of action; those wishing to spend a penny having been advised to walk to the M&S store on the Withybush retail estate to use their facilities.
However, a spokeswoman for Hywel Dda University Health Board panned the reports, saying “The cold water supply in the main hospital was shut off temporarily today to repair a water leak.
“Patient care and infection control has not been affected in any way, and visitors and outpatients were advised to use toilets in our renal unit whilst the work was being carried out.
“All of our water supply is back on and toilets are now fully accessible again.”
