POLICE have closed off a Pembroke Dock street in response to a man threatening to jump from a building.

Dyfed-Powys Police have closed the upper end of Meyrick Street to attend to a man who is threatening to jump from a window on the first floor of the Coronation School flats.

The man is reported to be shouting at the police officers. 

Another man can also be seen in the window.

A police negotiator is at the scene.

The police were called at about 10.40am.

At least a dozen police officers are at the scene.

Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue and the Welsh Ambulance service are also attending.

The situation took another turn when two women were taken into police custody when a fight broke out between them.

Police officers broke them up and took them away from the scene.

UPDATE: 2.55pm: The road has now re-opened and the incident is over.

Police have confirmed that the incident was over by 2:30pm, and a man was taken into custody as well as the two women who police had earlier detained.
