A quantity of what appears to be palm oil has been washed up in Tenby this morning (Wednesday).
The coastguard, fire service and Pembrokeshire County Council workmen are in attendance at South Beach and there are reports of a similar occurrence at the resort’s Castle Beach.
There will however be residual amounts left and further quantities may wash in on following tides.
This substance is harmful to dogs if ingested so dog walkers are asked to take particular care if exercising their dogs on beaches in the area.
