PEMBROKESHIRE Youth’s Community Team has been awarded the National Participation Standards Kitemark.
The award demonstrates that youth clubs supported by Pembrokeshire Youth meets the National Standards for Young People’s Participation in Wales.
The service was assessed by a group of young people, the Pembrokeshire Young Inspectors, who are trained to evaluate services against the national standards, and the kitemark is awarded by Pembrokeshire Children and Young People’s Rights Office.
Liz Griffiths, Community Youth Team Senior Practitioner, said: “I am delighted that the Community Youth Team has been awarded the Kitemark as recognition that we involve young people in the decision making processes across our youth clubs.
“This demonstrates that the voice of young people is heard throughout the county and ensures Pembrokeshire Youth Community Team responds to and respects the needs of young people.”
Pembrokeshire Youth provides experiences, opportunities, information, advice and personal support for young people aged 11-25 years.
