A ‘BRA’-VELLOUS bunch of people in Pembrokeshire have contributed over 10 kilogrammes of ladies underwear to an African charity.
The collection for Smalls for All was organised by Charlotte McAllister of Pleasant Valley.
She enlisted the help of Saundersfoot’s 1st St Issell’s Guides to collect bras and pants and they responded magnificently with five kilogrammes of undies.
The village’s Regency Hall took up the appeal, with the result that the appeal total was doubled within weeks.
The registered charity Smalls for All arranges distribution of the bras and pants across many countries in Africa through a network of organisations.
This in turn enables girls to attend school regularly and women to seek opportunities in education and work, or have a better recovery from a number of medical problems.
Said Charlotte: “I would like to say a huge thank-you to everyone who has contributed or helped in the organisation of this event.”
