BRAWDY Open Day 2018 survived early rain clouds to ensure a fun day for all the family.

The event, hosted by 14 Signal Regiment, saw crowds flocking to at Cawdor Barracks on Saturday, despite the weather.

The fun day, which regularly attracts more than 2000 regular visitors, featured military capability demonstrations, police working dogs, Pembrokeshire Falconry, demonstrations, vendors, craft, business stalls, food and drink, and an open mic stage

A very special feature, as part of the official #RAF100, was an exhibition and display area where former RAF Brawdy personnel chatted about their time at the base, and displayed various items of memorabilia.

The airfield also saw its first official movement for years with the arrival of an ex-Army Air Corps Auster AOP.6 which will be on static display courtesy of its owner / pilot Kevin Hale.

All proceeds raised on the day go to the army benevolent fund and SNAP, a specialist playgroup in Pembrokeshire.
