SCOLTON Manor will be in full bloom this September as the popular attraction hosts its latest ‘Walled Garden’ Plant Fair.
On Saturday, September 8, between 10am and 3pm, select from a range of quality plants including exotic salvias and stunning Japanese maples, scented lavenders and fabulous carnivorous plants.
Throughout the day, get specialist advice at the ‘Walled Garden Workshop’ from a variety of organisations including The Wildlife Trust, Peatland Programme IUCN UK and the National Trust’s Colby Woodland Garden, as well as Scolton Manor.
Subjects include growing healthy plants without peat in your compost, choosing the best types of garden plants for encouraging wildlife, top tips for changing your lawn into a wild flower meadow attractive to butterflies, and how to beat the dreaded slugs and snails without resorting to harmful slug pellets.
Entry to the Fair is free.
