PAUL Sartori's Letterston store closed last month, after more than ten years raising funds for the charity.

The smallest Sartori store in Pembrokeshire opened on April 7, 2010, proving very popular with local residents and holiday makers.

The shop has had to close as the premises has been sold by the owners. Paul Sartori said it was trying to find a new location in the Letterston area and would, hopefully, open another store.

Letterston's was the only Paul Sartori shop without a paid manager in place. John Grieg has been the volunteer shop supervisor since day one and has worked alongside a dedicated team of volunteers who the charity credits with doing a "fantastic job" over the years.

"This is a very sad day for a truly amazing team and awesome leader. Hopefully this isn't the end but an exciting new beginning." Said Sandra Dade, Paul Sartori charity manager.

"Over 40% of the income to Paul Sartori Hospice at Home comes from our retail stores around Pembrokeshire. The generous donations from members of the public and local companies are what keeps are store open and trading.

Lisa Wells, income generation team administrator added:

"We are extremely grateful to everyone who has supported and donated items to the Letterston store." "We would really appreciate your continued support by delivering your donations to Haverfordwest or Fishguard stores if possible."
