A lorry stuck under a bridge closed part of the Old Hakin Road this morning (Wednesday), but the road is now re-opened.

The road was closed between Tiers Cross and Haverfordwest.

Dyfed-Police Police said: "Police received a report that a lorry had become stuck under a bridge on Old Hakin Road at around 7.40am.

"Due to the length of the lorry, it could not move forward or backwards, and was blocking the road.

"Recovery was arranged, and the road was reopened at around 11am."

The police had tweeted earlier to say they were at the scene and recovery had been requested.

The Western Telegraph traffic report stated: "Old Hakin Road both ways closed due to bridge struck by vehicle from Glen View (Merlin's Bridge) to Denant Hill (Dredgeman Hill).

"A lorry is stuck under a bridge.

"Incident has added to usual morning congestion on the A4076 heading towards Haverfordwest."
