A WOMAN who went missing early this morning (Monday, October 22) was swiftly found by multi-agency rescue teams.

Police asked for assistance in searching for Clare Wemyss, from Pennar at 8am this morning.

Coastguard Rescue Teams from St Govan’s, Tenby and Llanstefan, the Angle RNLI Lifeboat and the HM Coastguard search and rescue helicopter from St Athan assisted in the search, alongside the Welsh Ambulance service.

Ms Wemyss was found just before 9.30am before being transferred to hospital by the HM Coastguard helicopter.

A Coastguard spokesman said: “The casualty was located on the foreshore of Pennar Park.

“Due to the location, the Coastguard Rescue Helicopter 189 was requested to evacuate the casualty from the scene and transport to Morriston Hospital for further medical care.”
