REPORTED crimes of violence in Pembroke Dock doubled in a month, the latest figures from Dyfed-Powys Police have revealed.

While the latest police figures show crime in Pembroke Dock, Pembroke, and the surrounding areas saw a general decrease month-on-month, incidences of violent crime reported in Pembroke Dock doubled to 42, from August-September.

Overall crime figures reported in Pembroke Dock increased slightly month-on-month, from 109 in August to 111 in September, while the Pembroke area decreased from 77 to 65 respectively.

Pembroke Dock saw 26 incidents of antisocial behaviour in September, down from 41, while Pembroke dropped from 19-18.

Offences recorded in Pembroke in September included three burglaries, down from five; six criminal damage and arson, up from three; three drugs; six other theft, up from five; two other crime; two public order offences, down from five; one weapon possession; one shoplifting; and 22 violence and sexual offences, down from 31.

The Pembroke Dock area saw two bicycle thefts; one burglary offence, down from two; nine criminal damage and arson, down from 11; four drugs, down from eight; 10 other theft, up from four; two weapons possessions; 12 shoplifting, up from eight; and 42 violence and sexual offences, up from 21.
