POLICE and an ambulance were in the centre of Haverfordwest tonight (Wednesday), after an argument which witnesses at the scene say became violent.
Witnesses in the centre of town said an argument had taken place on Castle Square.
The argument became heated and a chase was reported to have ensued across the New Bridge.
Loud shouting was also heard by some along Bridge Street, coming from a side alley.
Police were called to the scene to diffuse tensions, and began diverting traffic away from the centre of town from Cartlett Road.
An ambulance was also on Castle Square on standby.
Police at the scene were unable to comment.
The Western Telegraph will contact Dyfed-Powys Police's press office team during office hours.
