TWO men were arrested yesterday, January 21, following a report of an illegal slaughterhouse operating in west Wales.
Police and other agencies attended the alleged illegal slaughterhouse, the location of which has not yet been revealed.
Distressingly, live animals were found amongst the carcasses.
Dyfed-Powys Police Rural Crime Team have stated on Twitter: “Rural Crime team attended a call with multi agencies to a report of illegal slaughterhouse in west Wales.
“Live animals found amongst carcasses. Two males arrested and enquiries on going and no further information available at this stage.”
Police have declined to give the location of the alleged illegal slaughterhouse, Pembrokeshire Rural Crime Team stating: "At this early stage of the investigation we are not prepared to release further information."

Posting on Twitter yesterday, January 22, Dyfed-Powys Police Rural Crime Team praised the importance of agencies working together: “A little re-cap of yesterday’s horrific job...the importance of community intelligence, communication and our vital relationships with our partner agencies and the exposure of such illegal practices.”
