A MAN was taken to hospital yesterday, February 13, after a three-hour negotiation with police on a bridge 100 foot above the main A477 road.
The A477 road in to south Pembrokeshire was closed in both directions for some three hours, following concerns for the welfare of a man on the Kilgetty Lane bridge, near Stepaside
The road was closed from Kilgetty roundabout to Red Roses while specially-trained police dealt with the man.
Police were called shortly after 5pm, the road reopening at 8.30pm.
A spokesman for Dyfed-Powys Police said: “Police were called to Kilgetty Lane at 5.15pm on Wednesday, February 13, following concerns for the welfare of a man.
“The man engaged with specially trained officers and was taken to hospital. The A477 was closed as a safety precaution.”
