A POIGNANT vigil for the victims of the terrorist attack at two New Zealand mosques was held at Castle Square, Haverfodwest, tonight, March 15.
Forty-nine people were killed, and 48 wounded, in the two Christchurch shootings early Friday afternoon New Zealand-time, the early hours of Friday UK-time.
New Zealand’s Prime Minister described it as a terrorist attack and one of the country's darkest days.
Police say a man in his late 20s has been arrested and charged with murder.
Vigil organiser Patrick Connellan said: “There were only 11 of us, but it was very short notice; I was really glad we did it though. It was compassionate and sorrowful but resolved to say ‘never again’.”
