I AM sickened by the events that have happened in Christchurch, New Zealand.

What kind if world do we live in where people cannot go and worship without getting gunned down?

I feel sad for the families who have lost loved ones; I have a lot of friends who are Muslims, and are good people.

When I was in working in Lebanon I used to go to church with Linda, my late wife, and nearby was a mosque.

One morning we came out from church, and at the same time both groups of people came out and were chatting, shaking hands, and hugging each other.

Linda knew many of them, and they were chatting to me as well; no problems.

It’s only the bad apple element in all religions that cause problems.

To quote a Muslim gent I was chatting to a few months ago, who was a taxi driver in Cardiff: “Yes, we have differences but if we learn to respect and tolerate each other then we can make the world a better place for all to be in; I think we all human.”
