A MAN from Pembroke Dock is accused of making homemade weapons while in jail.
Rory Barnes, whose address is given as Cumby Terrace, is accused of making the weapons while he was serving time in HMP Parc, Bridgend, in January.
On January 18, Barnes was said to be in possession of what was described as a bladed or sharply pointed article, described as two plastic cutlery handles with the blade from a disposable razor melted onto them.
The homemade weapon Barnes is alleged to have possessed is commonly known as a 'shiv'.
Three days later, January 21, Barnes was also found to be in possession of a metal spike sharpened to a point with a green cloth handle, it has been claimed.
The same day, Barnes allegedly had on him a flat yellow coloured metal bar.
No pleas have yet been entered by Barnes.
The twenty-two-year-old stands trial on Thursday, September 23, at Cardiff Magistrates’ Court, by videolink.
