A three year-old boy tragically died after being hit by a pick-up truck and trailer, an inquest has heard.
Ianto Cerwyn Sior Jenkins died at Rhosfach Farm near Efailwen on the evening on 3 August.
The inquest heard that he was playing on his bicycle, with his sister and cousin at the time.
Emergency services were called to the farm at around 7pm, after reports of the incident.
The inquest, in Llanelli, has been adjourned, with a date to be fixed in four months.
Ianto's mother, Chloe Picton, has previously paid tribute to her "blue-eyed boy." She described him as "a kind little boy who was always smiling and laughing."
Coroner Paul Bennett extended his "belated personal condolences" to the family. He said he would conduct enquiries with the "appropriate diligence and propriety".
Inquiries by both Dyfed Powys Police and the Health and Safety Executive are ongoing.
