AFTER almost a year Pembrokeshire Society of Lady Golf Captains finally got to hold a tournament with the society reopening competition at Haverfordwest Golf Club.
The Pembrokeshire Society of Lady Golf Captains have been unable to hold their Autumn event since 2019 so the competition at Haverfordwest Golf Club on Monday September 27 was well supported.
Thirty one lady golfers from across Pembrokeshire met to play this singles competition and fortunately the day’s play was only marred by one or two rain showers.
President, Heather Morgan, thanked all those who had supported the event and Haverfordwest Golf Club for courtesy of the course before presenting the prizes.
Best Gross - Joan Green salver: Celia Bartlett (Newport), 2nd Heather Morgan (Tenby)
Best Nett – Molly Whitehead Cup: Diane Gough (Haverfordwest), 2nd Katrina Pitches (Rosemarket)
Best Stableford – Jane Rees (Haverfordwest)), 2nd Sue Waterhouse (Newport)
Veteran’s Millenium Salver – Diane Gough (Haverfordwest)
Membership to the society is open to all past and present lady captains from every golf club in Pembrokeshire.
The next competition will be at Milford Haven Golf Club on April 25, 2022.
