A PEMBROKE DOCK man was sent to prison for three months on Friday, October 8, for failing to comply with the community requirements of a suspended sentence order.

Paul James Heathfield, of London Road, appeared in front of Llanelli Magistrates Court.

He had initially been given the suspended sentence by Haverfordwest Magistrates Court in January 2020.

The 12-week sentence, suspended for 12 months, was imposed for failing to provide a specimen of urine when suspected of having driven a vehicle.

Magistrates heard that Heathfield, 41, had failed to comply with planned telephone contact on May 15, 2020, May 22, 2020 and May 29, 2020.

He had also failed to attend an office visit on June 5 2020 and failed to provide acceptable reasons or evidence for those failures within the allowed timescales.

Heathfield admitted breaching the order and magistrates activated the suspended sentence, sending him to prison for 12 weeks.
