Kilgetty Golf Society went on its annual October away trip, as 19 participants visited the Vale of Glamorgan in the warm sunshine.
After a full 18 at Button Course at Cottrell Park Golf Club, the participants went to Glamorganshire Golf Course, famed for its association with Dr Stableford, who devised the familiar scoring system still used.
Steve Jones was the overall champion with a combined total of 72 points, having won at The Button and coming fourth at The Glamorganshire.
Second was Simon Sweet on 63, and third was John Williams with 62.
Shaun Taylor won at The Glamorganshire and recorded a longest drive along with Simon Sweet. 'Nearest the pin' champions were Meurig Evans and John Richards. Martin Davies won the 28+ prize on both days.
Wooden Spoonists were Tom Woods and Phil Andrews. Twos were recorded by Dave Crowley, Meurig, Rob Nixon, Bob Forrest and Simon Sweet.
Our next fixture is at Milford Haven Golf Club on Wednesday, November 10.
All are welcome at the trip. For more information, see www.kilgettygolf.co.uk or contact info@kilgettygolf.co.uk.
